The Ar Rihla “Basic Arabic course for Beginners” has been specifically designed to meet the needs of individuals whose first language is English. The only prior knowledge required to attend this course is the ability to read Arabic i.e. Qur’aan. We pride ourselves on offering a course so simple that over 2000 individuals as young as 13 and as old as 70 have successfully graduated with an enhanced understanding of Arabic, Qur’aan and Salaah.
Arabic is often wrongly perceived as a complex, difficult-to-understand language. This is primarily due to incorrect learning methodology, ineffective teaching style, bad teacher-student communication and a lack of post-lesson support. Ar Rihla’s unique methodology aims to help overcome these obstacles.
Often, Arabic courses are conducted by non-English speaking teachers who cannot express themselves adequately nor understand the needs of English speakers.This leads to many individuals abandoning their studies after a very short time, never to return.

Objectives
Course participants who complete all required coursework should be able to construct basic Arabic sentences both orally & in writing. Attendees are able to display proficiency in grasping of basic grammatical concepts by accurately translating & explaining basic verses of Qur’aan & extracts of common supplications found in the Sunnah.
