Q: Where are Ar Rihla’s courses and seminars offered ?

A: Ar Rihla currently offers courses and seminars in Durban & Johannesburg only. We are hoping to begin offering all courses in Cape Town in the near future Insha Allah. All courses and seminars are hosted at different venues in order to be more accessible for all individuals.

Q: Is prior knowledge required to attend the Arabic Courses?

A: In order to enrol for the “Arabic for Beginners” course, all individuals must be able to read Qur’aan. No other knowledge of Arabic grammar etc. is required. Admission to the Intermediate and Advanced courses is by prior assessment only.

Q: What if I would like to attend a course/seminar, but cannot afford the fee?

A: Ar Rihla aims to make authentic Islamic Knowledge available to every single individual. We try to accommodate all interested individuals and do offer a limited number of bursaries. Please enquire in advance if you require a bursary/subsidy. Payment plans are also in place for those who cannot make a once-off payment.

Q: Will I be able to speak Arabic by the end of the course?

A: Students who attend the Beginners, Intermediate & Advanced Courses and complete all prescribed work will Insha Allah be conversant in the Arabic Language.

Q: What happens if I miss a class or I need help with course work?

A: Students who miss a class for a valid reason will be offered another time slot in which to attend a make-up session. If you require help with course work you may email Ar Rihla and you will Insha Allah receive a reply within 24 hours. Alternatively we may be contacted on 082 723 6109
